"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan." - Irving Townsend

Your pets stay in their own home, with familiar surroundings and smells, sleeping in their own beds, surrounded by their toys. This helps mitigate the separation anxiety pets sometimes feel when their humans have to leave for a few days.

Cats in particular, who can be fussy about litter boxes, get to keep using what they are used to, instead of being shuffled off to someone else's home and having to use a box in unfamiliar territory.

    What we offer

    daily visits
play time and personal attention for pets
    fresh water and food
    litter box care
    bring in mail and newspaper
    post-trip report

We specialize in cats, but we will also care for your birds, fish, hampsters, and most other pets.

Sorry, but we do not petsit for dogs.

    Rates and Area Served

Pet Home Care serves the City of Ithaca area and our rates depend upon the number of animals you have.

We specialize in cats, but we will also care for other small pets. We do not offer dog walking and we do not pet-sit for dogs.

And remember to support your local SPCA through donations of money or time. No one serves our animal friends like the SPCA.

CAT CARE TIP

Litterbox maintenance:
Scoop daily.
Empty and wash box with fragrance-free soap weekly.

Refill with your cat's favorite litter.
Skip the plastic liner. They just get ripped up anyway.

Your cat will love you for it!
