LunaSolis Coven

LunaSolis Coven offers a spiritual home to those seeking a working coven within a teaching/learning environment. We open occasionally, and at those times, seek committed people who are serious about their path. We are an eclectic Wiccan coven. Our practice is deeply influenced by the cycles of nature and the spirit of place in our beautiful area of gorges and waterfalls in upstate New York.

When open, we are looking for people who are mature in outlook, able to look critically at themselves, and who are actively working on healing and integrating all phases of their life. Our coven is a supportive environment, and our coven meeting time is precious. We are not a therapy group.

While we honor both the Goddess and the God, we are a womens's coven. We request that any women who consider joining us be comfortable in an all female environment that will be exploring all phases of the experience of being women of the Goddess.

Candidates for Membership

All applicants must meet with the HPS and possibly with other coven members. At that meeting, we will talk about the coven, the Candidate's classes, and the candidate's potential for meshing with our group. If everyone feels good about moving forward, you will join the Candidate's class. Students in the Candidate's class are associate members of LunaSolis Coven. After completing the class, you will be eligible for initiation as a full member.

Candidate Class teaches an overview of Wicca, the basics of ritual, energy work, and transformative principles. The class is designed to give students a feel for working with a group. Initiated members will lead your meetings, and various members will attend periodically so that you get to know each other.

Training and Degrees for Full Members

Neophyte - Entry level as an initiate. Basic Wicca, the Wheel of the Year, Sabbats, Esbats, ritual, magic, divination

Prietess or Priest (First Degree) - Putting training to practice. Teaching, leading ritual, and delving into areas of particular interest.

Prietess or Priest (Second Degree) - Continuing indepth study, including healing, teaching, and preparing to lead a coven..

High Priestess or High Priest (Third Degree) - Advanced work in areas of interest, coven leadership, personal and professional development as a member of the clergy..

Degrees are tangible proof of what the initiate and the Goddess and God have already affirmed. They are a symbol of the hard work and dedication put in by the holder.
