North American Wolf Association. Our Adopt-a-Wolf program was designed specifically for wolves rescued from a horribly abusive situation just north of Houston. There are no other wolves (that we know of) in adopt-a-wolf programs who need your help as much as these wolves do, for they have been to hell and have seen the depths to which the human spirit can sink. It is now our intention to show them the level of kindness and compassion to which we can rise. They have endured much and deserve better than they got.
Wolf Haven Wolf Haven International was founded as a nonprofit education and scientific
corporation in 1982 and is supported entirely by private contributions. Wolf Haven's
mission is working for wolf conservation. Its objectives include:
Sponsors are encouraged to visit and join one of the howl-ins.
Wolf Park is a nonprofit research and education facility dedicated to the understanding and conservation of the wolf, a most misunderstood predator. Located in Indiana, the Park was established in 1972 by Dr. Erich Klinghammer and is home to 18 wolves, a small herd of bison, three foxes and a coyote. Sponsors receive quarterly reports and photographs of their wolves. Individual sponsors as well as clubs and school groups are supporting wolves. A number of sponsors arrange vacation trips to Wolf Park and in most cases they can personally meet their wolf or a stand-in wolf (by appointment only).
Defenders of Wildlife. Nine wolf puppies were born near Yellowstone National Park. We must do all we can to help them survive. And that's where you come in, my friend. You can "adopt" one of these wolves! And help provide us with the resources we urgently need to fight the new war on all wolves that is now raging. You won't know exactly which wolf you are adopting, because contact with humans must be kept at a minimum if the animals are to survive on their own in the wild. But you'll know that somewhere in the Northern Rockies, or in Alaska, or in the Southwest, there is a wolf growing up and learning how to survive thanks to your generosity.
