This week poses a challenge for me. I am going on vacation, starting Friday, to spend 4 days with 24 friends at a lodge. This means I have to really take responsibility for what I eat and when I eat. It will be too easy to just eat too much and the wrong things, rather than take the time to make things for myself. I will have to choose dishes at restaurants that are foods I can eat and say no to the impulse to be like everyone else and eat whatever I want.
I will also have to find a way to stick to my exercise regime. There is a gym in the town where we are staying, and I plan to go there. Again, it will be too easy to say forget it and stay with my friends. I hope I can meet the challenge...
One thing that helps is that I have learned to plan ahead, so I am bringing Myoplex with me. I've already contacted the lodge to make sure there is a blender availiable. Also my "free day" falls on Sunday, so I can pig out with my friends without feeling guilty on that day!
Another thing that helps is that the fat loss is really becoming obvious now. I have motivation to stick with the plan because I am living the results.
This past Saturday I got my yellow belt in Hwar Do. It was very satisfying to complete that. We worked hard to be ready in only 3 weeks, instead of the usual six. I spent much of the long labor Day weekend recovering from that commitment. Had I not been doing "Body for Life", I would not have had the energy to make it through those grueling weeks.
