When the world is all about her,
she believes no one understands.
Everyone is out to get her,
There can be no helping hands.
What friends offer is deemed unworthy,
What they say is judged as wrong.
She throws it back with judgement.
She sings her martyr's song.
How did this happen to her?
How did she get that way?
Did years of abuse and torment
bring distrust to her life to stay?
Sad, so sad, to hear her.
To see her accept this fate.
The abused become abuser,
such a sorry, sorry state.
