July 4th could now symbolize the independence and strengths of women of
Daughters of the Wolf as well as our national independence day.
Together we howl for each others accomplishments,
provide nurturing and direction to those seeking answers and enlightenment,
and we share in the emotions that each other feels. The Moon in Cancer is
a deep and strong bond between women, where outside influences are sensed
consciously and unconsciously. It is a home base to retreat to, where
understanding is found and where there is a need to assist in taking care
of others. There is a patriotism among us that will grow stronger as time
unfolds.
The New Moon is the start of a monthly cycle of Moon phases which run from
one New Moon to the next New Moon. Most calendars indicate when the New
Moon/Quarter Moons/and Full Moons occur. There are actually eight phases in
all with each phase being symbolic of the type of energy being released. The
Moon cycles focus on an area of life for that month. The area of life
depends on which house in the horoscope the New and Full Moon fall into. Its
not always obvious and sometimes it only makes us more conscious of the
changes we may want to make in time. The New Moon at the beginning of one
cycle may be used to build the foundation for changes during other lunar
phases several months later.
The New Moon phase is the first and runs from day 1 to day 3.5 of the
cycle; it is a time to plant the seeds on a new project. Start the month by
planning your goals, writing down your ideas, pay attention to your dreams
and spend time reflecting on your thoughts. Its a time to consider making a
personal record for yourself .
The second phase is the Crescent Moon phase running from day 3.5 to day 7 of the
cycle, and is a time to feel out the environment and take tiny steps to find
out how your ideas or goals might be perceived or accomplished. Do some
research, put out feelers, it's a time to start building on your idea.
The third phase is called First Quarter Moon and is from days 7 to 10.5 of
the cycle. Here the issues around what you have planted will start coming to
light. Often during this phase you want to plunge ahead without thinking
about the consequences. Situations will come that you will immediately
respond to without thinking. Keep your thoughts clear and think before you
leap.
The fourth phase is called Gibbous Moon which occurs in days 10.5 to 14 of
the cycle. This is a time to make needed changes and put things in order for
those ideas started under the New Moon. Take time to analyze what you have
and begin the organization process. Evaluate what you have done so far.
The fifth phase is called Full Moon running from days 14 to 17.5 of the
cycle and is the turning point of the month. This is a time of separation or
illumination where the real intentions of what you set out to do is forming
the stage to its manifestation. Gain perspective and look for public support
for your ideas.
The sixth phase is called Disseminating Moon during the 17.5 to 21st day of
the cycle. This is a time to start going public with your ideas or for
looking for a job. It's ideal for talking with others about your ideas and
goals and getting important feedback that will help to direct you toward completion. Start integrating the proposals and plans.
The seventh phase is called Last Quarter Moon and encompasses days 21 to
24.5 of the moon cycle. The phase can bring about crises and changes of
thinking which has been a part of you since the New Moon. Here you start to
evaluate what has been done and what is left to be done. Some tasks will get
completed while others ideas will be rejected now. Here you get your real
sense of strategy.
The last phase is called Balsamic Moon and involves days 24.5 to 29.5 of
the cycle. This phase is for completing short term issues and preparing for
the next New Moon phase. You feel as though you are also in limbo for a few
days as the cycle prepares to go into the next New Moon phase. Use this time
to clear things out, not begin something new.
