WHERE DO YOU GO?

by Deborah L. Kamphuis (Gentle Dove)

Where can a woman go when she can no longer feel herself? When her blood runs cold and she loses all passion for life and daily living. When all her hopes and dreams lie shattered at her feet. Deep yearnings unfulfilled.

Who will hear her heart cry?
Who will hold her as she weeps?

Where do we go when we lose all focus and our hearts are breaking with confusion and pain? The call of the soul hangs in the air amidst your frozen feelings.

Rock this new idea in your soul,...we're off to new, unchartered territory.

"Out of every crisis comes the chance to be reborn."(*Nena O'Neil)

It's time. It's time to reclaim our soul's power. We don't have to become or stay victims to our emotions, remaining disconnected from ourselves.

Spirit calls us back to center. Spirituality calls us to come apart, to heed our soul's cry...to come back to a sacred center.

We reach in vain for conscious awareness when we think we have the power and the means to heal ourselves.

Spirit voice calls for attention to our highest values, breathes on us daily mindfulness to what is right and true and feeds our starving soul.

We have become dried up, driven, burned-out, soul-weary women.

Women who have lost the courage to be all that we can be, women who have given up their voice, women who have forgotten how to dance.

Pain is a great awakener. It calls us to seek again those hidden treasures in our soul. It calls us to a journey to the center of our being, our sacred inner core where Spirit re-awakens us.

"The dark night of the soul comes just before revelation. When everything is lost, and all seems darkness, then comes the new life and all that is needed." (*J. Campbell)

The dance of life can begin again at any point you make the conscious choice to have it so.

"It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power." (*Alan Cohen)

Be patient in the process and learn to make all your time sacred. The rebirthing process will happen. Be gentle with yourself. Seek out quiet spaces where you can learn to hear the Spirit voice call you back to soul.

My prayer is that you will run free my sisters, for the earth waits to hear your feet dance. The Spirit waits to see you walk unafraid, of yourself, unafraid of what other people think.

Can you hear the cry of your soul...to think your own thoughts? To voice your own words? To stand for your own self?

Where do you go? Back to Spirit center. It's time my sister. It's time!

"There came a time when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." (*Anais Nin)
